Embassy Priorities
Cape Verde is a democratic and development success story, as well as an important partner for the United States. In addition to the overriding goal of protecting and safeguarding the welfare of American Citizens, the U.S. Embassy in Cape Verde pursues two primary interest aims:
- Combating transnational crime through strengthened maritime security and rule of law; and
- Supporting Cape Verde’s transition from donor dependence to investment and trade.
